Dr. Thomas, an author and speaker based in Fredericksburg, Virginia needed a lifestyle branding session that incorporated headshots, lifestyle images, and images that showed her at work. She also wanted images that showed her as a professional – one who is classy, educated, and confident.
We started her session in her living room to showcase her life as an author, and to create imagery that was a little more relaxed as she “worked”. She desired to appear approachable as well, so this provided a great background to convey her approachability. We also incorporated her new book, Bullets, Babies, and Boardrooms, in which she shares her life journey. Next, we moved to the kitchen for some “working” images. We used the island in her kitchen as both a workspace and a space for Dr. Thomas to “let her hair down” and show a little more of her personality. For her podcast / video teaching imagery, we went to her office with her microphone, her laptop, and her bible to show her teaching and speaking as an approachable authority. Last, we captured professional headshots with a gray backdrop so that she would have “professional headshots” to use for her business.
