Nestled along the York River, Historic Yorktown, Virginia it has so much to offer for engagement sessions. Historic Yorktown, Virginia has a small colonial town feel mixed with beach vibes, and so much more. The historic charm of 17th century houses along Main Street begs to be explored. Several notable historic structures that help to create a beautiful backdrop include the Nelson House, the Customs House, and the Cole Diggs House (which now houses Mobjack Bay Coffee Roasters) just to name a few.
The riverfront really makes Historic Yorktown a really versatile location There are spots along the riverfront, such as the old Tobacco Road, which is an historic path lined with trees and bamboo. Along the riverfront are jetties, beach grass, winding brick pathways, the Coleman Bridge, occasional driftwood, and incredible, magical sunsets.
One of the reasons I love Historic Yorktown is because of the years of memories I have there with my family- hot summer days at the beach with my kids and husband, long walks, retreating there to read and relax, or even having date night at one of the waterfront restaurants there with my husband. You may even find me jogging along the river or on Main Street from time to time. As a photographer, I love the variety of background options for beautiful engagement session images.
