New look, the same Virginia photography you know and love.

A Wedding at The Water Table

Hayley and Patrick’s wedding at the Water Table in Virginia Beach, Virginia was literally a dream come true.  Their original wedding date was September 26, 2020.  However, due to how the pandemic restrictions negatively affected their guest list, they opted to choose another date so that their families could be there to celebrate with them.  Thirteen months later, their wedding day finally arrived!  It was truly incredible to see all of the happiness and excitement throughout the day, which definitely made it worth the wait!

Their Story

Hayley and Patrick’s official story for how they met is that they met at Wasserhund Brewery In Virginia Beach…which is technically where they met for the first time in person.  However, they first connected through Tinder!  Later on down the road, on March 6, 2019, they closed on their first home together.  The house needed a great deal of renovation- they had to pull up the existing flooring, paint the walls, replace the fans, deep clean, etc.   So the next day, they show up to the house in working clothes ready to get started.  Patrick had an additional plan though.  He had painted “Will you marry me?” on one of the walls in their new home.  Hayley, of course, said “yes”!

The Wedding Day Begins

Even though the day started with a downpour of rain, the skies cleared fairly quickly!  Their wedding day began with the groom and groomsmen, and the groom’s father out on the dock.  After capturing Patrick with his dad, I began working with the groom and groomsmen, who were a hilariously fun group of guys!  After capturing a lot of “fun” shots, group shots, and some shots of the groom, I headed to where the ladies were getting ready in the Bridal Suite and began shooting Hayley’s wedding details and the bridesmaids and bride in their floral satin robes.  Hayley was surrounded by so much love and joy from her friends and family as she got ready to say “I do”.

Two First Looks

Patrick and Hayley had two first looks.  The first one was with just them, on the dock.  Patrick waited patiently as his lovely bride walked down the dock to see one another face to face for the first time that day.   As Hayley approached Patrick, he turned around and his smile said everything.   After they interacted with one another for their first look, we walked to a different area of the dock to capture more of them as a couple along with some of just Hayley.   Next, we set up for their second first look with their sweet Lillybelle – their cockapoo (who also was the flower dog).    Sweet Lilly got to see her parents in their wedding attire and it was so adorable!

Their Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony overlooked the marina on Rudee Inlet at The Water Table.  The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony, and the light was beautiful.  Lillybelle did a great job as “Flower Dog”, and in addition to this, two of the guys served as “flower dude” complete with a fanny pack and blush rose petals, and another passed out drinks.  Hayley and Patrick exchanged vows and rings as family and friends supported them.

A Romantic Golden Hour Session

After the ceremony and family pictures, I took the newlyweds to a part of the dock where the sunset was strikingly gorgeous!  The gold, orange and pink light provided the perfect backdrop for Hayley and Patrick’s golden hour session.  It was incredible!

After introductions and the couple’s first dance, DJ Karizma got the party started.   It was truly the most amazing day seeing Hayley and Patrick, their families, and friends celebrate.  Congratulations Hayley and Patrick!
