Elizabeth and David. It was most beautiful wedding day with most perfect Fall weather. I first met Elizabeth and David at Elizabeth’s brother and sister in law’s wedding a year ago in Yorktown, Virginia. Soon after that, they got engaged and I was beyond thrilled that they contacted me about being their wedding photographer.
Their Story
Elizabeth and David met on eHarmony a while back and fell in love. When the time was right, David proposed to Elizabeth in his living room. They are such a sweet and loving couple which was very evident when I photographed them during their engagement session. They shared so many tender glances as we walked to various locations at Fort Monroe in Hampton, Virginia.

The Wedding Day Begins
Their wedding day began at First United Methodist Fox Hill in Hampton, Virginia. Elizabeth, her bridesmaids and her mother got ready in the bridal suite at the church as David and the groomsmen got ready at his home. Meanwhile, we worked on photographing her beautiful wedding dress, rings, and her bouquet, which had her mother’s wedding veil and charms with pictures of her late grandmothers. As she finished getting her hair and makeup done, she slipped into her dress. Her mother helped her to fasten the back of her dress and to put her veil on.

The Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony was held in the sanctuary of the church, which was adorned with burgundy florals. After David, the minister, and the groomsmen entered, the bridesmaids entered. Following their entrance, Elizabeth, escorted by her father, walked down the aisle to join her groom. She looked absolutely elegant in her beautiful wedding gown as she and her groom exchanged vows and rings.
After the ceremony, we all headed over to James River Country Club in Newport News, Virginia for family pictures, bridal party pictures and then a sweet golden hour couple session for the newlyweds.

Romantic Golden Hour Session
For their Golden Hour session, we headed over to the stone bridge on the golf course. It was such a beautiful location along the golf course green, with the sun glowing through the trees as it lowered in the sky. Next, we went to the waterfront along the James River, where we were able to catch beautiful colors in the sky as the sun began to set. David and Elizabeth were so tender with one another which was so beautiful to see.

The Reception
The reception began with the introduction of the parents, bridal party, and the Bride and Groom. As the music transitioned to their song, David took Elizabeth’s hand and led her onto the dance floor for their very first dance as a married couple. As they danced, friends and loved ones looked on with smiles and a few happy tears.
After dinner, the DJ got the party started as guests danced the night away. Their guests had such a great time dancing! Congratulations David and Elizabeth!
