Beaverdam Park, located in Gloucester, Virginia, has miles of woodsy trails and lake views. It was a simple, scenic location for an anniversary session. I met this sweet family at the park in the late afternoon while the sun was still pretty high. Therefore, we began to work together on one of the trails at the edge of the woods surrounding Beaverdam Lake. I love how the glowing light streamed in behind them through the tree canopy! After photographing them on the trail, we moved to a bench that was just outside the trail entrance to get some seated shots. As the sun began to lower in the sky, we moved further toward the west to a clearing that sat in front of a tree line. It was the perfect place for them to snuggle together on a blanket as they cuddled their new baby daughter. As golden hour approached, we walked to the shore of the lake where the leaves were beginning to change to hues of yellow, orange, and red. The glassy water behind them reflected the trees as they stood together and interacted and walked.
